Framework Retroactively Cuts LPCAMM2 Prices for Some Orders After Securing Lower-Cost Supply

The reduction covers new orders, certain shipped orders, and pre-orders through Batch 10, though Framework says its supply remains limited.

Framework is giving some buyers a retroactive break on LPCAMM2 memory after securing a limited supply of Micron modules at a lower cost. The company is passing those savings back to customers, including people whose orders have already shipped.

In its memory pricing update, Framework said the change applies to its 32 GB and 64 GB LPCAMM2 modules. Some new orders qualify, while eligible orders that shipped at the higher price and pending pre-orders through Batch 10 can receive the reduced pricing. The same update also discusses Intel Core Ultra X9 processor options for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro.

Customers in Batch 10 can also choose to upgrade to higher memory capacities at the reduced rates. Pending buyers can adjust the amount of RAM in their configurations, although Framework is handling the offer on a first-come, first-served basis because the lower-cost supply is limited. If more stock becomes available, the company said it may extend the pricing to later batches and eventually to new pre-orders.

Framework says the price difference should be refunded automatically for eligible orders, even when they have already shipped. Owners who have received a DIY Edition Framework 13 Pro can use the LPCAMM2 order contact form to request a switch to a 32 GB or 64 GB module at the new price.

The lower price still sits above Framework’s original baseline

This is a partial correction rather than a return to the launch price. Framework says the newly reduced cost remains above its original pre-order pricing, but it is below the increase that followed its latest supplier-cost update. In July, the company said its suppliers were charging more than twice as much as they had for the previous shipment.

Exact savings depend on the order and memory configuration. Buyers covered by the adjustment will pay less than they would have under Framework’s most recent prices, but the lower rate is not a universal return to the earliest launch pricing.

For Framework customers, the immediate benefit is clear, but the window is narrow. Anyone affected by the price increase should check whether their order falls within Batch 10 or contact Framework if their DIY Edition laptop has already arrived. New buyers should also confirm that their order qualifies while the limited supply lasts.
