Pokémon GO’s Twilight Trails Data Points to a Brine Rework and Zoroark’s Sucker Punch

The preliminary batch also raises Psycho Boost and Take Down while changing energy costs for moves such as Body Slam, Shadow Force, and Dark Pulse.

Pokémon GO’s Twilight Trails move data points to a broad round of battle changes, with Brine gaining 40 power, Psycho Boost climbing to 85, and Sucker Punch appearing as an unannounced move entry for Zoroark. The values are preliminary, so the batch does not confirm that every change will reach the live game.

Brine is one of the clearest changes. Its power moves from 60.0 to 100.0, while its energy value changes from -50 to -60. Body Slam follows a similar tradeoff, moving from 55.0 to 65.0 power and from -35 to -40 energy. Those numbers fill in two open questions from our Season 28 move rebalance coverage, which had not yet pinned down Brine’s energy cost or Body Slam’s final cost.

Charged moves mix power gains with different energy costs

Several charged attacks receive more power, although the batch also includes cheaper moves and a few clear reductions. Bulldoze jumps from 45.0 to 80.0 power and now lists a guaranteed one-stage Defense drop for the opponent. Draining Kiss rises to 80.0 power and lists a guaranteed one-stage Defense increase for its user.

Moonblast moves in the opposite direction, falling from 110.0 to 90.0 power while becoming cheaper at -50 energy instead of -60. Shadow Ball also drops from 100.0 to 90.0 power. Other cost reductions appear on Dark Pulse, Magnet Bomb, Blaze Kick, Shadow Force, High Horsepower, and Mirror Coat.

Fast moves trade damage for energy changes

Bite and Scratch both lose power while gaining energy generation. Bite changes from 4.0 power and 2 energy to 2.0 power and 4 energy. Scratch moves from 4.0 power and 2 energy to 3.0 power and 4 energy. That gives both attacks a different profile from their current entries rather than a simple damage increase.

Take Down receives the largest listed fast-move power jump, rising from 5.0 to 14.0 power while its energy value moves from 8 to 9. Low Kick and Charge Beam each increase from 5.0 to 6.0 power, while Infestation rises from 6.0 to 10.0.

Fast move Power Energy
Bite 4.0 → 2.0 2 → 4
Low Kick 5.0 → 6.0 No change listed
Scratch 4.0 → 3.0 2 → 4
Charge Beam 5.0 → 6.0 No change listed
Infestation 6.0 → 10.0 No change listed
Take Down 5.0 → 14.0 8 → 9

Zoroark receives an unannounced move entry

The batch also lists Sucker Punch for Zoroark under an unannounced move addition. No power, energy, or secondary-effect values are provided for that entry, and the data does not establish when it could become available.

Until the move values appear in an official announcement or a live update, these entries are best treated as preliminary research rather than confirmed balance changes. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
