Xbox will have 26 games scheduled to launch from Tuesday, September 8, through Friday, September 11. Microsoft’s weekly Xbox release schedule includes everything from NHL 27 and Mewgenics to smaller puzzle, simulator, horror, and action games. No release is listed for Monday, September 7.
The busiest day will be Thursday, September 10, with 11 games arriving across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere. The Royal Writ will also join Game Pass that day, while release dates remain subject to change.
Tuesday, September 8 brings 7 releases
- Halloween: The Game will bring its asymmetrical horror sandbox to Xbox Series X|S. Set in Haddonfield on Halloween night in 1978, it lets players become Michael Myers or help local residents fight back. Townsfolk can contact the authorities and defend themselves when threatened.
- Mewgenics will bring its cat-breeding tactics to Xbox Series X|S. Players will build a feline team, draft abilities, collect items, and manipulate genetics across generations during turn-based roguelike adventures.
- Bus Simulator 27 will add more than 45 officially licensed buses from 13 manufacturers, including Solaris, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, IVECO BUS, Scania, and Volvo. The fleet includes rigid, articulated, double-decker, electric, and coach buses, with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
- Culdcept The First Saturn Tribute will bring the original 1997 digital board game and deck builder outside Japan for the first time. Its story follows a young hero caught up in conflict after mysterious tablets connected to the ancient book Culdcept appear across Bablashca.
- Hole in Many will combine golf with logic puzzles on Xbox Series X|S. Each shot changes the route, so players must move pieces and plan a path toward the hole.
- Honeycomb: The World Beyond will send players to Sota7, a planet of meadows and caverns where bioengineering may hold the answer to humanity’s survival. The game supports Xbox Play Anywhere.
- SPRAWL Zero will deliver a first-person shooter inspired by 2000s console FPS games. Players control FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced super soldier ordered to eliminate SILAS, the leader of the techno-religious group IMAGO-DEI. The game supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Wednesday, September 9 focuses on racing and casual play
- Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will move beyond the familiar orange track with four islands, each offering its own challenges and activities. Players can smash obstacles, find hidden items, defeat each island’s Rush Master, and claim the boss’s car and title. Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere versions are scheduled, with the Xbox release arriving one day before its planned September 10 PS5 launch.
- Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster will bring an action Metroidvania to Xbox Series X|S. Its journey through Arborea centers on the Heart-Eater sword and a conflict involving the attempted eradication of non-human creatures.
- Cats Around Us: Black Cat will ask players to find a camouflaged cat across a five-page silent comic. It is the second entry in the hidden-object series and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.
- Jewel Match Solitaire X will offer more than 500 levels, including the new Sliding level type. The collection also includes solitaire variants such as Carlton, Fanny, and Daisy Garden, along with Mahjong and Match-2 stages.
Thursday, September 10 is the week’s busiest day
- The Royal Writ will arrive through Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere. This card-based battlefield game turns every unit into a risk, since a card that reaches the enemy base before victory is permanently removed from the deck for the rest of the run.
- Train Sim World 7 Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will add three routes, including the AIREDALE & WHARFEDALE NETWORK in Yorkshire and BAHNSTRECKE NÜRNBERG – WÜRZBURG in Bavaria. The release supports Xbox Series X|S, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere.
- The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline will tell a first-person psychological thriller story without combat. Players take the role of Gabriele Alighieri, who must return to his ancestral home and perform a ritual when the barrier between reality and Hell fades every 33 years. The game supports Xbox Series X|S and Smart Delivery.
- BrokenLore: Don’t Lie will follow Junko, a hikikomori whose carefully controlled life begins to fall apart as trauma and an unreliable reality surface. The Japanese psychological horror game supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.
- Deconstruction Simulator will let players take demolition contracts, dismantle structures, recover materials and valuables, then sell or recycle what they collect. It supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.
- Dumb Ways to Build will turn construction work into a physics-based co-op challenge. Crews will tackle dangerous jobs where safety violations and unpredictable co-workers are part of the problem.
- Fresh Tracks will send players skiing through Norwyn while they fight enemies and search for a way to defeat Mar, the Queen of Terror. New abilities, divine companions, and music tracks unlock as each trail is conquered.
- Lost in Loss will cast players as a detective investigating citizens who are losing their identities. Hand-drawn locations, hidden objects, puzzles, and personal mysteries form the core of the adventure, which supports Xbox Series X|S and Smart Delivery.
- Mole Mine Boom will offer logic puzzles built around a miner mole, ore carts, and sliding demolition charges. Destroying cracked rocks changes the available paths, making each move part of the solution.
- RIN: The Last Child will follow the last child of the Creator through a broken mythological world. Players will craft spells, collect magical aspects and runes, and face transformed siblings in boss battles on Xbox Series X|S.
- Warshift 2: Machines of Madness will mix strategy, action, and RPG systems. Players can build a base, command troops, mechs, battleships, and carriers, then customize combat avatars during battles on Xbox Series X|S.
Friday, September 11 closes the schedule
- EA SPORTS NHL 27 will launch on Xbox Series X|S with all 32 NHL arenas receiving distinct presentations. Real-world goal songs, new pregame introductions, and a rebuilt crowd system are designed to give each building its own atmosphere.
- Dino Odyssey will put players in control of a dinosaur trying to save its species by recovering eggs. Running, jumping, and puzzle-solving are part of the journey, with Xbox Series X|S, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
- Dominus Mahjong Arcana will offer 40 Mahjong levels with gradually increasing difficulty and a relaxing presentation on Xbox Series X|S.
- Liquid Cats will challenge players to guide a stretchy cat across a grid while filling every empty tile. Each direction changes the cat’s path, so one wrong turn can leave part of the board unreachable.
