Sunkenland is celebrating four years since its Early Access release on August 25, 2026, giving the development team a chance to reflect on how far the ocean survival game has come.
Across that time, the team has moved the game from v0.1 to v0.8.55 through a total of 58 updates. The developers said the project is getting closer to their long-term vision, although more work and future updates remain ahead. The milestone was shared in a Steam anniversary announcement.
The message also placed the spotlight on the players who have stayed with Sunkenland since its early days. The team thanked the community for its suggestions, bug reports, patience, and ongoing support, adding that player messages and feedback have helped guide the game’s continued development.
