The week of August 24 brings 21 PS5 releases between August 25 and August 28, followed by five more games joining PS Plus Extra. The schedule covers everything from co-op survival and tactical strategy to cozy animal care, classic collections, and several smaller adventures.
Two of the larger launches, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Star Wars: Zero Company, are both planned for August 27. Here is the full release schedule by date.
New PS5 games arriving August 25
- Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (PS5): Up to four players take on the role of Colonial Marines fighting Xenomorphs across hostile locations. Each class has its own abilities, while the customizable Specialist class adds another way to build a squad.
- Apidya’ Special (PS5): The game returns through Pixel Passion, giving players another chance to take flight in this revived release.
- Blood Dungeon (PS5): This 2D platforming survival game sends players through dangerous dungeons, where they must avoid monsters while collecting blood and power-ups.
- Once Human (PS5): Players take on the role of a Meta-Human in a Stardust-infected open world. Gathering resources, building a territory, and surviving alongside friends are all part of the post-apocalyptic journey.
New PS5 games arriving August 27
- Aggelos 2 (PS5, PS4): This action-platformer combines fast combat and precision platforming across opposing light and dark realms. Players step into the role of an Aggelos during a war threatening the Kingdom of Lumen.
- Animal Shelter 2 (PS5): Care for animals in need, play with them, learn their personalities, dress them up, and help match them with permanent homes.

- Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad (PS5, PS4): A group of mutant kids becomes humanity’s last defense in a colorful zombie apocalypse. Missions involve blasting zombies, covering the city with graffiti, and facing a Zombie Boss.
- Infection Free Zone (PS5): The Mad Virus has spread across the world, leaving behind infected enemies that are aggressive, fast, and strong.
- Lou’s Lagoon (PS5): Fly a seaplane between tropical islands, gather resources with the Swirler, repair storm-damaged communities, and investigate Uncle Lou’s disappearance.
- Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 2 (PS5): The collection brings another selection of Metal Gear’s stealth-focused missions to the console.
- Mind Diver (PS5): Experimental technology allows players to enter Lina’s Mind Ocean, repair damaged memories, and work through a missing persons case filled with hidden secrets.
- Murders on the Yangtze River (PS5): OMEGAMES STUDIO’s Chinese-style, side-scrolling detective adventure follows a murder investigation along the Yangtze River.
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (PS5): Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the prequel follows Sophia, a young plunderer searching for answers about her past in a story built around combat, myth, and fate.
- Star Wars: Zero Company (PS5): Bit Reactor’s single-player, turn-based tactics game follows an elite squad during the final period of the Clone Wars.
- Sword & Fairy 6 (PS5): This role-playing adventure takes place in a fantasy world shaped by Chinese heroism.
- The Immortal John Triptych (PS5): The anthology combines Four Last Things, The Procession to Calvary, and Death of the Reprobate. It also includes deleted scenes, updated language support, an expanded soundtrack by Eduardo Antonello, manual saves for Four Last Things, and backflips in The Procession to Calvary.
- The Long Survival (PS5): This co-op survival shooter centers on enemy waves, resource management, and building defenses during battles.
New PS5 games arriving August 28
- Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters (PS5): The soccer adventure features 110 playable characters, new super moves, friend-versus-friend matches, and another chapter in Tsubasa’s journey.
- Once Alive (PS5): Sixteen years after a global virus wiped out humanity, James and his brother believe they are the last survivors. Their situation changes when James finds an invitation to the survivors’ base known as HaustVille.
