Fortnite’s Sonic Course Boosts Become a Comedy Show With Traversal Emotes
Every traversal emote works on Sonic's boost panels, but moving the character cancels the effect immediately.

Fortnite’s Sonic course has a wonderfully goofy trick: traversal emotes still work when players hit the course boosts. Instead of simply speeding through the track, characters can keep moving with their chosen animation playing along for the ride.
The interaction is not limited to one specific emote, either. Every traversal emote works, giving players plenty of ridiculous combinations to try as they race through Sonic’s course.
Keep Your Hands Off the Movement Controls
There is one easy way to break the visual gag. The traversal effect stays active on a Boost Panel only while players move the camera and avoid character-movement inputs. Move the character even once, and the emote cancels immediately.
The quirk does not create a new way to move or offer any competitive advantage. It is purely cosmetic, making the boost sections more of a goofy visual flex than a Battle Royale tactic, and it is best treated as a possible bug rather than a confirmed Fortnite feature.
A Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit post captures the discovery, while the accompanying video clip shows just how silly the boost sections look with traversal animations active. A second subreddit clip demonstrates the camera-only input rule and the immediate cancellation when movement is pressed.
You Can Use Traversal Emotes on the Sonic Course Boosts 🤣
