Diablo 4 Reportedly Targets a September Launch on Nintendo Switch 2

An unconfirmed report names September 15 or 18, 2026, as possible launch dates and lists prices of $69.99 in the US, €69.99 in Europe, and £62.99 in the UK.

Diablo IV may arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in September, more than three years after its original launch. An unconfirmed report points to either September 15 or September 18, 2026 for the release, with reported prices of $69.99 in the United States, €69.99 in Europe, and £62.99 in the United Kingdom.

The claim originated with a Dealabs report by billbil-kun, which also said the Switch 2 version was nearing completion. Neither Blizzard nor Nintendo has announced the port, so the timing and other reported details could change.

Possible release dates and physical edition

The reported physical version would use a code-in-a-box format rather than including a cartridge or Game-Key Card. Buyers would instead receive a boxed product containing a download code.

The reported $69.99 price matches the Age of Hatred collection available on other platforms. That bundle includes the base game along with the Lord of Hatred and Vessel of Hatred expansions. However, it remains unconfirmed whether either expansion would come with the Switch 2 release.

Other signs of a Switch 2 version

In April 2025, Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson said Switch 2 had enough performance to run Diablo IV. He identified a larger challenge in adapting a live-service game for a device that is often used handheld and may not always have a permanent online connection.

A Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating board listing also named the Lord of Hatred expansion for Switch 2. The listing did not confirm a release date or establish which content would be included with the reported Diablo 4 release.

If the report is accurate, the Switch 2 version would give Nintendo’s newest console a major Blizzard release during its first year on the market. Blizzard has not shared any details about performance, features, or how the port would handle the game’s ongoing content.

Gamescom could host the announcement

Gamescom 2026 will run from August 26 through August 30 in Cologne, Germany. Xbox has confirmed a dedicated booth for the event as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, and the report suggests that setting could provide an opportunity to announce the Switch 2 version.

For now, that remains only a possibility. Blizzard and Nintendo have not confirmed a release date, price, physical format, or the game’s presence at Gamescom.
