Tarkov’s M3 Benelli May Fire Faster With a Precise Trigger Rhythm

Precise taps and deliberate pauses appear to produce different results during suppressed 12g tests, though the cause remains unclear.

Escape from Tarkov players may want to pay close attention to how they use the trigger on the M3 Benelli. During a raid test for suppressed 12g kills, the shotgun seemed to change its firing rhythm depending on the gap between shots.

The M3 is described as one of the slower-firing semi-automatic shotguns in Tarkov. The unusual part came when rapid taps produced a short burst of shells before the weapon returned to its normal pace. Delaying the next click appeared to let the shooter fire faster than that baseline rhythm.

The trigger timing remains unconfirmed

The test centers on a possible delay of roughly half a second per mouse click. It is not clear whether that delay is a separate input limitation or simply the M3’s low fire-rate cap. Either way, the result suggests that firing as quickly as possible may not produce the best rate of fire with this shotgun.

That timing would be difficult to maintain in a live raid. Players have to react to return fire and other threats, which makes carefully spacing every shot much harder than practicing the rhythm in a controlled test.

The test does not confirm that the behavior is intended or consistent for everyone. More testing would be needed before treating the technique as a dependable way to improve the M3 Benelli’s fire rate. If the result holds up, the shotgun may have more potential than its slow base cycle suggests.
