skate. Details Its First Block Parties Test Ahead of August 7
The X Games Best Run contest closes at 11:59 PM PT on August 5, while X Games San Van remains open to everyone through August 25.

Full Circle used the Aug. 4 edition of The Weekly Grind to refresh the X Games San Van schedule and outline the first test for Block Parties, a new Meetups mode arriving on Aug. 7. The developer shared the details in its official Steam announcement.
Week 3 of X Games San Van is now underway, bringing a new round of challenges and another chance to earn X Coins. The event runs from July 21 through Aug. 25, and The Stadium remains open to everyone during that period. Players do not need Rip Chips or a skate.Premium Pass to enter. The open-access period covers all of the remaining event weeks.

The refreshed challenges are part of the wider X Games San Van lineup, which also includes Spot Battles, themed gear, and activity inside the Stadium. Full Circle has posted more event information on the X Games San Van details page.
Block Parties begin August 7
The first Block Parties test begins Aug. 7 at 10:00 AM PT and will run across four days during the weekend. The events are designed for groups of up to 150 players, but joining one does not require a signup, queue, or party invitation. Players can simply ride into the active area and leave whenever they want, even if a round is already underway.
Each Block Party moves to a new location every 30 minutes. The event travels through three spots, with new sessions scheduled at 15 and 45 minutes past every hour. The route and objectives are randomized from a larger pool, so the same event should not follow the exact same path each time. The initial test will take place exclusively in San Van.
Objectives cover vert, park, and street skating. They are meant to be easy to understand at a glance, while still giving more competitive players room to find better lines, chain tricks, and chase higher scores. Later rounds add point multipliers, which can reward players who stay in the event or help someone mount a comeback after joining late.
Block Parties will use two leaderboards. One tracks a player’s overall placement across the full event, while the other updates during each round with details such as score and distance. The top player in a round receives a crown above their skater, making that person visible to everyone nearby. The mode will also include related tasks, though the event itself will not directly award Rip Chips or Tix. Not every task requires a win.
Full Circle described Block Parties as both a gameplay test and a technical test. The team will watch how many players participate, whether they follow the event across the city, which locations and objectives keep people involved, and where players stop taking part. Bugs or stability problems may force the mode offline temporarily while the test is running.
