Arctic is using a tariff refund from the US government to lower prices on its cooling products for American customers. The company says the price rollback is already active, and it will continue until the full refund has made its way back to shoppers.
Rather than limiting the cuts to products whose prices increased during the tariff period, Arctic says it is applying the recovered money across its retail lineup. In a statement shared through its official blog, the company said the rollback would remain in place until “every single dollar ARCTIC received from the tariff refund has been paid back to our customers.”
Arctic calls the promotion the Arctic Payback Scheme. Some prices have already started to fall in US territories, particularly for products hit hardest by the tariffs. Arctic’s deals page says customers can “save all year long,” but the company has not announced a single discount percentage that applies to every product. The amount saved therefore depends on the item.
CEO and founder Magnus Huber addressed the decision in a video posted by Arctic, saying, “As a consumer myself, I feel your pain.” Arctic raised prices in 2025 after tariffs increased its costs, and the promotion returns that money through lower prices rather than separate cash payments to individual customers.
Arctic also plans to support PC communities
The refund will not only benefit buyers at checkout. Arctic says it is putting money toward community programs focused on technology education and grassroots PC groups in the United States. Those efforts will include hardware donations and technical support.
Arctic has not yet shared which organizations will receive help or how the programs will work. For now, the lower prices are the clearest part of the company’s plan, giving US customers a chance to pay less for Arctic cooling components without waiting for a separate promotion.
The tariff refund follows a February court ruling
Arctic’s refund comes amid a wider effort by companies affected by US tariffs. A February Supreme Court ruling found that President Trump’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 to justify far-reaching tariffs was unconstitutional, as outlined in a Congressional Research Service summary.
Several companies have since sought compensation for tariff payments. Arctic’s approach is unusual because it is returning the money through broad retail price reductions instead of keeping the refund or cutting prices on only a few products. The company also says its community support will continue as part of the same effort to return value to PC builders.
