Escape from Tarkov Screenshot Shows a New HX-QD Suppressor

The 0.550 kg attachment carries recoil and muzzle-velocity changes, but its addition has not been confirmed by Battlestate Games.

A new suppressor may have appeared in Escape from Tarkov. A screenshot shared on August 4 shows the HX-QD 762×51 sound suppressor in the game’s item interface after a player looted it.

What the HX-QD suppressor does

The attachment weighs 0.550 kg and uses a quick-release muzzle device. Its description identifies it as a 7.62×51/.308 rifle suppressor manufactured by Human Exposite WORXShop Safety Co.

The displayed stats show a -35 loudness modifier and a -4.5% recoil change. The suppressor also affects handling, with -14.5 ergonomics and +1.5 muzzle velocity. The item can be modified during a raid and is marked as compatible with the available setup shown in the interface. It also has a +35% durability burn penalty, a +14.5% heat increase, and a cooling adjustment. The flea market unlock is shown at Level 25.

The screenshot confirms that the item appeared in one player’s game, but it does not show whether the HX-QD 762×51 is part of a planned content release, a recent game change, or an item that was added without a wider announcement. Battlestate Games has not been cited as confirming the suppressor’s status in the supplied material.

For now, the HX-QD looks like a potentially useful option for players running compatible 7.62×51 weapons, especially those willing to trade ergonomics and heat management for quieter shots and a small muzzle-velocity increase.
