Palworld Online will bring a new MMO adventure to iOS and Android this year

Garena's officially licensed mobile MMO will feature a persistent shared world, original story elements, PvE bosses, PvP, shared bases, and touch-focused controls.

Palworld Online, a new MMO spin-off of Pocketpair’s creature-collecting survival game, will arrive on iOS and Android devices sometime in 2026. The game will be developed and published by Garena rather than Pocketpair, and it will only be available on mobile.

Garena announced Palworld Online on August 3. Its press release describes the project as an officially licensed game that reworks the original game’s survival and creature-collecting ideas for phones and tablets. It is being built as a separate game rather than a direct mobile port, with a persistent shared world designed to support a larger player population than the original game’s 32-player server limit.

The MMO will feature a connected open world and a new narrative setting with “original story elements” rather than continuing the main game’s story. Players will be able to roam the map with their Pals, search for treasure, uncover lore, and take on special challenges. They will also be able to capture and raise Pals, construct shared home bases with other players, fight PvE bosses, and compete against other players in PvP. The project will retain Palworld’s broad survival focus while adopting a larger online structure.

The mobile version will use a touch-friendly interface with optional one-tap controls for tasks such as base management and Pal deployment. Garena says those changes are intended to make the experience easier to play on mobile devices without abandoning the freedom and scale associated with Palworld.

Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe said the company was pleased to work with Garena, pointing to the publisher’s experience with global publishing, localization, and mobile live operations. The partnership gives the Palworld series a second mobile project, separate from Krafton’s Palworld Mobile.

The announcement follows the appearance of the Palworld Online name in a trademark filing earlier this year. That filing led to speculation about a possible MMO, and Garena’s announcement confirms that the project is real.

There is still no precise release date, pricing information, or announced launch-region list. Palworld Online is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android before the end of 2026. That gives mobile players another way to enter the series while Pocketpair continues work on the main game and its broader plans.

Palworld Online’s mobile-only approach will make it distinct from the original PC and console experience. Share your thoughts on the new MMO spin-off in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.

Palworld

Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival game that combines creature-collecting with crafting, base-building, and combat. Set on the Palpagos Islands, players capture and tame animal-like creatures called Pals, which can be used as mounts, combat partners, or workers at player-built bases. The game incorporates firearms and darker satirical elements into the monster-taming formula.
