Xbox Has 18 Games Arriving Between August 3 and 7

Beast of Reincarnation leads the week with an August 3 launch on Xbox and Game Pass, followed by a mix of RPGs, puzzle games, horror, and co-op action.

Xbox players will have 18 new games to check out from August 3 through August 7. Microsoft’s weekly Xbox lineup includes the Game Freak action RPG Beast of Reincarnation, the sandbox RPG Kynseed, several small-scale puzzle games, and a handful of darker adventures.

Most of the games are marked as optimized for Xbox Series X|S. Several also support Smart Delivery or Xbox Play Anywhere, while Beast of Reincarnation will be available through Game Pass.

Monday, August 3

Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Japan. Players will follow Emma, an outcast affected by a blight, and Koo, her dog companion, as they travel through a harsh world and face powerful bosses. Emma uses sword attacks while Koo can receive commands to perform different techniques. Skill trees, gear, spirit stones, and ranged, stealth-focused, or aggressive loadouts will let players build their preferred approach.

The game will launch on Xbox Series X|S with Game Pass support. Pre-order customers will receive a Brown Shiba Skin for Koo and 30,000 Amber, the game’s currency.

Detective Holmes: Hidden Objects puts Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson into a new mystery built around hidden-object searches. The game includes spot-the-difference challenges, matching pairs, and detailed scenes inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters. It will support Xbox Series X|S, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Space Tail: Definitive Edition follows Bea, a dog who travels through strange worlds inspired by the early days of space exploration. Players will use her senses to sniff, listen, and observe as they investigate each environment. The Xbox Series X|S version will arrive on August 3.

Tuesday, August 4

Kynseed is a life-sim sandbox RPG from developers with experience on the Fable series. Players can raise a family, customize a farm, run businesses, craft items, battle monsters, and build relationships with villagers who remember their actions. Characters age over time, allowing players to continue their legacy through the next generation. The game will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Fading Clouds is a puzzle adventure with 30 levels built around disappearing clouds. Players must plan routes, restore clouds at the right moments, and reach the star at the end of each stage. Its Xbox Series X|S version will feature pixel art and a relaxed pace.

Wednesday, August 5

Five Hearts Under One Roof is a first-person interactive FMV romance game. Yuman’s life changes when five women begin living under the same roof, and player decisions will affect relationships, story branches, and endings. The five romance routes feature a childhood friend, a former idol singer, a boss, a younger girl, and a shy recluse. The game will support Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Mate’Morphosis puts a chess-inspired spin on puzzle games. Instead of controlling several pieces, players move one piece that transforms into the type of piece it captures. The goal is to progress from a pawn to stronger pieces, defeat the queen, and eventually checkmate the king. It will include Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support alongside its Xbox Series X|S release.

Thursday, August 6

Aery – Surreal World is a story-driven flight game set across dreamlike environments. Players control a small spirit, collect memory fragments, and move through locations such as an ocean-floor apartment, a golden kingdom, and a sky filled with strange sights. The game will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Herd Dispatch asks players to guide sheep through 30 puzzle levels across three rural areas. Switching paths at the right moment will send each sheep toward the pen that matches its color. The Xbox Series X|S game is designed around simple controls and gradually tougher logic challenges.

Montabi combines creature collecting, roguelike progression, and deckbuilding. Players will assemble teams with different skills, collect equipment and charms, and battle across a 3×3 grid. Montabi can grow stronger, learn new moves, and evolve into more powerful forms. The game will support Xbox Series X|S, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Sokogem is a minimalist movement puzzle game. Players slide through levels and push gems into treasure chests, filling each one with the required number before reaching the exit. It will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Vengeance of Mr. Peppermint is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up inspired by Korean crime dramas. Mr. Peppermint is a detective hunting the person responsible for his sister’s death, but his pursuit pushes him toward violence and madness. Players can use precise combos and improvised weapons while the story changes as his actions become more extreme. The game will support Xbox Series X|S and Smart Delivery.

Yellowcreek Stories – The Cabin Watcher is a first-person stealth horror game set at a remote mountain cabin. A masked killer reacts to sound, light, and movement, leaving players without combat options or second chances. Its Xbox Series X|S version will also support Xbox Play Anywhere.

Friday, August 7

INK ENIGMA 2: Hidden Object Challenges will offer 40 black-and-white hidden-object levels with updated camera controls. Players can zoom in on illustrated scenes and mark each discovery as they work through roughly one to two hours of puzzle content. It will support Xbox Series X|S, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

John Fox follows a retired mercenary whose pet Milo is killed by a toad. His pursuit leads him into a city overrun by clone frogs and toward a battle with the giant toad threatening the world. The 2D pixel beat-’em-up includes survival mode, varied environments, and boss fights, with Xbox Play Anywhere and Smart Delivery support.

Limbot is a physics-based co-op game for up to four players. Teams control a person dressed as a cardboard robot while smashing through a destructible paper city. Players can destroy buildings and enemies, fight oversized bosses, and customize the robot with upgrades such as a soda-can speed boost or wooden-spoon extensions.

The Relic: First Guardian is an action RPG set in the ruined realm of Arsilthus. Players take on the world’s last hope and collect Relics, fragments containing the emotions and final wishes of people from the past. The game features five weapon types, gear-based progression, relic-powered skill trees, and up to 80 boss encounters. It will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Tailbreak is an on-rails shooter about surviving a dinosaur outbreak, with solo and local co-op support for two players. The game includes a six-act voiced story, an item system that limits players to two carried items, multiple weapon choices, Score Attack, Arrange Mode, and Mutation Matrix. It will arrive with Xbox Series X|S optimization and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
