Borderlands 4’s Bounty Pack 4 brings two paid content tracks to Kairos today
Murders and Acquisitions adds a repeatable mission and new loot, while Vault Card 4 offers 24 cosmetics and four rerollable Legendary items.
Bounty Pack 4 is now available in Borderlands 4 alongside the Version 1.9 update. The paid release is split into Murders and Acquisitions, which adds narrative content and gear, and Vault Card 4, which focuses on cosmetics and additional equipment. The official Steam announcement confirms that each part costs $5.99 USD when purchased separately.
Players who own the Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, or Bounty Pack Bundle already have access to both parts. The two DLC sections can also be bought together through the Bounty Pack 4 Steam bundle.
How to start Murders and Acquisitions
After purchasing Murders and Acquisitions, players can begin its repeatable mission after their first encounter with Levaine in Carcadia Burn during the main campaign. A mushroom-filled mission crate will appear near Bounty Boards in major hub areas. The new mission is marked on the ECHO map.
The story sends players into the Toxic Scowl, where two Ripper factions are fighting for control. Completing the mission unlocks a Vault Hunter Skin for all Vault Hunters, a Vehicle, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin. The area also contains one new boss and three mini-bosses that can be farmed for fresh gear.
New Murders and Acquisitions gear
The narrative DLC adds one Pearlescent weapon and six Legendary items. The Pearlescent weapon is PRISM, a Jakobs Sniper Rifle that gives ricochets a random elemental damage type. Consecutive critical hits also create more projectiles, up to a limit.
- Silver Sliver — A Daedalus Pistol that applies a stacking debuff, causing affected enemies to take more damage.
- Overconsumption — A Tediore Pistol that creates two mobile turrets when thrown to reload.
- Plump Bob — A Ripper Shotgun whose shells bounce several times.
- Hydrowerks — A Torgue Shield that fires missiles during a slide and restores armor based on the slide’s duration.
- Oxidation — A Vladof Repkit that restores some of the current weapon’s ammunition based on the percentage of health restored.
- Loiter Sploiter — Torgue Heavy Weapon Ordnance that creates MIRV missiles on hit. Those missiles produce smaller MIRVs when they strike.
Vault Card 4 rewards
Vault Card 4 adds 24 cosmetic items and four rerollable pieces of Legendary gear. Its rewards are earned through gameplay rather than a time-limited track. Once activated from the Vault Card screen in the ECHO menu, Daily and Weekly Challenges provide extra loot and XP. Regular activities such as traveling across Kairos, defeating enemies, and finishing quests also contribute to Vault Card progression.
The four rerollable Legendary items are:
- Divided Glow — An Order Assault Rifle with Radiation damage and a weapon shield that can reflect bullets. Reflected projectiles deal increased Radiation damage.
- Eradication — A Vladof Assault Rifle that automatically fires its underbarrel grenade launcher at nearby enemies after a kill, with increased damage.
- Stealth & Seek — A Maliwan Sniper Rifle whose attached projectiles continuously fire their own projectiles at nearby targets.
- Pressure Kettle — A Daedalus Grenade Ordnance that throws five grenades by default. Cooking the throw reduces the count while increasing each grenade’s damage and velocity.
The remaining Vault Card rewards include one unique head for each base-game Vault Hunter, four universal Vault Hunter Skins, five Weapon Skins, five Vehicle Skins, four ECHO-4 Drone Skins, and two ECHO-4 Attachments.
More paid content is scheduled for September
Gearbox has also confirmed that Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, the new Vault Hunter Loveless the Hacker, and both parts of Bounty Pack 5 will arrive on September 10 alongside Version 1.10. Those releases will be sold separately, with the Story Pack and Loveless content included in the Vault Hunter Pack and Super Deluxe Edition. Bounty Pack 5 will be included in the Bounty Pack Bundle and the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions.
