Stupid Never Dies will arrive on PS5 on October 21, 2026, bringing its bizarre zombie love story and fast-moving action to players later this year. SEGA has also joined developer GPTRACK50 as a co-publisher and will handle the game’s global distribution.
The premise is wonderfully strange. Players follow a zombie who wants to revive his girlfriend after she froze to death. The game leans into that odd setup with a colorful cast and a tone that treats every undead disaster like an excuse for another ridiculous spectacle.
A new trailer introduces Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a character whose true allegiance remains unclear. One thing is obvious, though: Phoenix knows how to dance. The footage also shows the game’s frantic combat, with players swapping between different forms and leveling up quickly as they progress through each stage.
Two Editions and a Silly DLC Pack
Stupid Never Dies will launch with a standard edition priced at $49.99. The Glorious Idiot Edition will cost $59.99 and include the Nonsense Overload Pack.
That add-on includes several TickTock Teddies, which grant playful effects such as flashier visuals and a big head mode. The package sounds less like a traditional power boost and more like a collection of ways to make an already chaotic adventure even harder to take seriously.
There is still plenty we do not know about how the combat and progression will feel across a full campaign. Based on the trailer and the footage shown so far, the action appears built around rapid form changes, frequent upgrades, and plenty of visual mayhem.
