Dispatch Brings Superhero Comedy to Xbox on July 29

Players take the role of Mecha Man after his destroyed suit forces him into a dispatcher job managing rehabilitated ex-supervillains.

Dispatch, the superhero workplace comedy from the writers and directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, is scheduled to launch on Xbox on July 29. The game is set in modern-day Los Angeles, where saving the city comes with plenty of office politics.

Players follow Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, after a battle with his nemesis destroys his mech suit. Without his armor, Robert takes a job at a superhero dispatch center. His new role involves sending heroes into the field, rebuilding his suit, and working toward another chance at revenge.

The game combines branching storytelling with roster management and tactical decisions. Players will review emergencies on a strategy map and choose which heroes to send, weighing the possible risks and rewards of every assignment. Conversations in the breakroom can also affect relationships, allegiances, and the direction of Robert’s story.

Managing the team means dealing with more than superpowers. Each member of the roster has personal problems and difficult habits, while skill upgrades and new abilities can improve their performance during missions. The result is a workplace comedy where the biggest crisis might be in the field—or right next to the coffee machine.
