Insomniac Games has added two free suits for Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, giving players new looks tied to Brand New Day and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The content arrived in the game’s July 28 update.
The update is version v1.005.000 and includes the Fresh Start suit connected to Brand New Day alongside the Marvel Tōkon suit. Neither cosmetic requires a preorder or purchase, so every player can access both through the update.
What’s Included in the Spider-Man 2 Update?
Insomniac revealed the suits through a short countdown before showing them in-game. The Fresh Start suit arrives just before Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 29. The Marvel Tōkon suit uses a white-and-red color scheme, a larger spider emblem, and a slightly cel-shaded appearance that distinguishes it from the game’s more traditional Spider-Man designs.
The announcement also confirmed two PS5 Pro additions: Enhanced PSSR support and a Power Saver mode. PSSR is the console’s AI-based upscaling feature, giving PS5 Pro players another way to tune the game’s image quality.

The new suits are separate from the wider Marvel crossover activity surrounding Brand New Day. The outfit is also available as a cosmetic in Marvel Rivals this week, alongside other MCU-themed items and the Age of Ultron Path to Doomsday event.
Insomniac is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine, although the studio has confirmed that Spider-Man will not appear in that game. For now, players who return to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 can pick up the two new Peter Parker suits without spending anything extra.
