Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is hosting its first crossplay playtest from Friday, July 24, giving players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S a free chance to test the 50v50 tactical shooter together.
The test begins at 6:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. EDT / 2:00 p.m. BST / 3:00 p.m. CEST on Friday, July 24. It will remain available through the weekend before ending on Monday, July 27, at 6:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. EDT / 2:00 p.m. BST / 3:00 p.m. CEST.
Đắk Tô Airfield brings a more open fight
The playtest also introduces Đắk Tô Airfield to the public for the first time. The map still includes the dense vegetation expected from a Vietnam setting, but its central airfield creates a broad, exposed combat zone that changes how players move between objectives.
That open runway presents a very different problem from the thick jungle found on earlier maps. There is less cover between positions, so squads will need to think carefully about when to cross the airfield and how to support teammates moving through it.
The airfield sits at the center of the battle, making it the main point of conflict as both sides fight across the map. The contrast between enclosed vegetation and wide-open ground should give the playtest a different rhythm from the game’s more concealed jungle engagements.
The test is open to players on all three listed platforms, and PC players can request access through Steam. This is also the first public test for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to support crossplay.
