Icarus is currently free to play for a limited weekend event, and RocketWerkz has paired the promotion with Double XP for its entire duration. The developer announced the event on July 23 through an official Steam announcement.
That gives curious players a chance to bring friends, try the survival game, and make faster progress without committing to a purchase first. The promotion does not include an advertised end date in the announcement, so players should treat the free access and XP bonus as limited-time offers.
Icarus and Its Expansions Are Discounted
RocketWerkz is also discounting the base game and all of its downloadable content. The headline offer is Icarus at 80% off, while the limited-time Free Weekend Bundle collects the core game and its major expansions.
The base game includes the Olympus map, 69 missions, five Tech Levels, unique creatures, Oil, Exotics, and the content added across 241 free weekly updates.
- Dangerous Horizons is 25% off. The expansion adds the Elysium map, 17 missions, a drivable vehicle, new mounts, more than 35 creatures, Tundra and Geothermal biomes, resources, and radiation gameplay.
- New Frontiers is 33% off. It introduces the Prometheus map, 27 missions, new mounts, Swamp, Volcanic, and Grassland biomes, plus new creatures and resources.
- Styx is 33% off. This expansion adds the Styx map and 33 missions built around a tougher survival experience, unique biomes, and new creatures.
- Great Hunt Campaigns is 33% off. The experimental expansion features three branching campaigns across Olympus, Styx, and Prometheus, along with multi-stage boss encounters and legendary weapons.
Players who already own some of the content can also check the Complete the Set bundle. The standalone Icarus Steam listing contains the base game’s current purchase option.
