Palworld has sold close to 1.8 million copies since its version 1.0 launch on July 10, according to an estimate from Alinea Analytics market analysis lead Rhys Elliott. Steam appears to be driving most of that early sales performance.
Elliott’s analysis on Substack places Palworld’s total premium sales at roughly 30.5 million copies, with Steam responsible for nearly 86% of the lifetime total. The analyst also estimates that Pocketpair’s survival game has generated around $700 million in revenue during its first two and a half years.
The post-launch breakdown is even more concentrated. About 1.5 million of the estimated 1.8 million copies sold after version 1.0 were purchased on Steam. PS5 contributed roughly 300,000 copies, while Xbox accounted for approximately 70,000 units after the full launch.
Elliott estimates that Steam players make up 65% of Palworld’s audience. Xbox and Xbox Game Pass account for 31%, while PS5 represents the remaining 4%. The Xbox sales figure may be lower because the game remains available through Game Pass Premium, giving subscribers access without buying a separate copy.
The figures arrive shortly after Palworld passed 40 million players ahead of its version 1.0 release. That milestone included players across the game’s supported platforms, while the new estimate focuses on premium unit sales and the distribution of Palworld’s audience.
Elliott also connected Palworld’s performance to the cost of new console hardware. The analyst wrote that if next-generation systems approach a $1,000 price point without disc drives, some casual players may instead spend their time and money on PC, mobile devices, or hardware they already own.
For now, Palworld’s early version 1.0 results point to a strong PC presence, even as the game continues to reach players through Xbox Game Pass and PS5.
