The First Descendant issued permanent bans to 14 users and temporary penalties to 318 more after reviewing abusive activity recorded from July 10 through July 16, 2026, PDT. Nexon detailed the results in its official Steam notice.
The crackdown covered unauthorized programs, abuse of the Open Store payment process, abnormal transactions, and unusual gameplay activity. The developer said its enforcement decisions used both player reports and its own monitoring.
14 Permanent Bans
Eleven accounts received permanent game bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. Three additional users were permanently banned for exploiting the Open Store payment process to gain unfair benefits.
Temporary Restrictions
One account received a seven-day trading restriction after an abnormal transaction record was detected.
Another 317 accounts received a three-day separate matchmaking penalty following the detection of unusual gameplay activity. The notice did not provide a more specific description of the behavior behind those penalties, saying the actions followed the game’s operational policy.
Players who spot suspicious or abusive behavior can report it through the in-game reporting feature. Users who believe a ban tied to Open Store payment exploitation was issued in error can contact customer service through the official website’s Customer Service > 1:1 Support section. For disputes involving payment-process exploitation through chargebacks, the notice directs players to contact the platform store used for the purchase.
Nexon said it will continue monitoring player behavior to keep the game environment fair for Descendants. Share your thoughts on the latest crackdown in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
