For Honor’s Next Update Brings Arakure, Metal Trials, and a Free Week

Year 10 Season 2 Title Update 2 will introduce Arakure on July 23 alongside new events, Starter Dominion, Hero Fests, and a limited free week.

For Honor will receive Year 10 Season 2 Title Update 2 on July 23, bringing the new Arakure Hero, a returning event, a refreshed Starter Dominion playlist, and a limited free week. Ubisoft outlined the upcoming content in its Warrior’s Den recap.

Arakure is presented as a street fighter and rebel who rejects tradition. Her story connects back to the Sohei massacre at Khatun’s banquet, adding another thread to the season’s ongoing conflict in Heathmoor.

Ubisoft also showed her combat style, including her Feats and a unique Power-Up Bar that charges during battle. The presentation covered her aggressive moveset, along with the animation and modeling work behind her executions, armor variations, and weapon sets.

Starter Dominion Returns

Starter Dominion will be available for two weeks, from July 23 through August 6. The playlist will use five maps: Quiang Pass, Citadel Gate, River Fort, Canyon, and Temple Garden.

The mode will include Stamina, Feats, and Revenge while keeping the core Dominion rules intact. That gives new players a simpler place to learn the mode without removing the systems that define a standard match.

Esports and Free Week

The Warrior’s Den presentation also reviewed recent 4v4 tournament results and opened registration for a 1v1 Duel tournament beginning September 19. Players can sign up through the For Honor Official Tournaments page on Battlefy.

A free week will run on Ubisoft Connect, Xbox, and PlayStation from July 23 through August 4, lasting 12 days. It will give new players an opportunity to try the game and join friends during the TU2 launch window.

Ubisoft also discussed balance changes and gameplay improvements planned for TU2, with a separate patch notes article planned for the update.

Arakure arrives on July 23, with several events following through September 3. Share your thoughts on the new Hero and the returning Metal Trials event in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
