War Thunder is celebrating Bastille Day with a short French-themed event that combines a premium aircraft sale with a trophy full of returning decals. The event is live from July 14 at 11:00 GMT until July 17 at 11:00 GMT, according to Gaijin Entertainment’s Steam announcement.
The S.O.4050 Vautour IIN is available at a 30% discount for 5,992 Golden Eagles. Players can find it under France > Aviation > Premium vehicles.

The Vautour IIN is built for attacking bases and ground targets. Its large bomb and rocket loadout can support multiple attack runs, while its 30 mm cannons and AA-20 Nord air-to-air missiles give it some tools for self-defense. However, the aircraft is not agile enough to comfortably fight enemy fighters alone, so allied air cover remains important. More aircraft details are available in the War Thunder wiki entry.
How to earn the Bastille Day trophy
Players can earn the “Bastille Day” trophy by scoring 3,000 mission points in battles while using French vehicles at rank III or higher. The task can be completed in random battles, except for [Assault] mode.
The trophy contains one of six previously available decals. They are the “Bastille Day” decal, “Heart of France” decal, another “Bastille Day” decal, “Cocarde de France” decal, a third “Bastille Day” decal, and the “Bastille Day 2025” decal. All six rewards are located in the Holidays section.

If all six decals are already unlocked, the trophy awards one of four replacement rewards:
- 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles
- 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles
- 3-5 universal backups
- 1 day of Premium account
The reward is not granted automatically. After completing the task, players must collect it manually. Progress can be checked in the hangar through Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Bastille Day.
The French aircraft sale and Bastille Day trophy remain available until July 17 at 11:00 GMT. Tell us which decal or reward you hope to get in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
