In its July 9 weekly briefing, Microsoft Flight Simulator said the Sim Update 6 pre-release public beta has started after last week’s Sim Update 5.1 and World Update 22: United States National Parks. The first test build, 1.8.5.0, has release notes in the beta notes thread, and enrollment instructions are posted for PC-Windows Store, PC-Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in the welcome post.
The team also asked testers to vote in the build surveys and report issues in the SU6 beta forums. Feedback and bug reports will help inform the next build.
