Chansey is back on Pokémon GO’s next Max Monday

The July 6, 2026 event puts Dynamax Chansey in power spots all day, with a 400 MP entry cost and a Fighting weakness that keeps Gigantamax Machamp in the spotlight.

Pokémon GO is bringing Dynamax Chansey back for Max Monday on July 6, 2026. Chansey will appear in power spots all day, giving trainers another shot at the Normal-type Dynamax battle.

The matchup is simple on paper. Dynamax Chansey is a Normal-type, which means Fighting moves are the only weakness. It is a Tier 3 Dynamax Battle and costs 400 MP to enter, so this is one of those encounters where the right team matters more than raw stats.

Best counters for Dynamax Chansey

Gigantamax Machamp sits at the top of the attacker list. Other strong options include Dynamax Urshifu, Dynamax Gallade, Dynamax Machamp, Dynamax Alakazam, and Dynamax Passimian.

On defense, Dynamax Registeel is the first name to know. The backup picks are Dynamax Metagross, Crowned Sword Zacian, Dynamax Regirock, Crowned Shield Zamazenta, and Dynamax Corviknight.

For healing, Dynamax Blissey leads the pack. The other listed healers are Dynamax Wailord, Dynamax Snorlax, Gigantamax Lapras, Dynamax Vaporeon, and Eternatus.

How to build the team

Max Battles can take up to four trainers, and the suggested setup is two attackers, one defender, and one healer. If you are building around a solo clear, a fast charger with a 0.5-second fast move helps fill the Max Meter quicker, then you can swap into your best attacker once the Dynamax phase starts.

Chansey’s movepool is also easy to read, with Pound and Zen Headbutt as fast moves and Dazzling Gleam, Hyper Beam, Psychic, and Psybeam as charge moves.
