Diablo 4 Season 14 is making Mythic drops much rarer
Players are also reporting better gem supply, more Mythic Seals, and a steadier route into Echoing Hatred.

Diablo 4 Season 14 is already live, and players are reporting that Mythic loot is far less generous than it was in Season 13. In the previous season, a single Mythic Undercity Tribute boosted with the Goblin War Plan node could spit out more than ten Mythic items in a two-minute run. That path no longer works the same way, because Tributes no longer guarantee a Mythic drop and the overall rate appears to be lower.
The bigger shift is how Mythics work in Season 14. Instead of the old fixed-affix setup, Mythic items now carry two fixed affixes and two random ones, and Mythics 3.0 lets almost every Unique item become a Mythic variant with stronger item effects and max-value stats. Season 14 also adds a Horadric Cube recipe that turns a Unique into a random Mythic in the matching slot, so a Banished Lord’s Talisman would only roll into a Mythic amulet rather than a direct copy.
Not everything got tighter, though. Mythic Seals appear to be dropping more often, and gem fragments are in a much better spot than they were in Season 13. That should make Horadric gem crafting less of a grind. Traces of Echoes also seem more common, which makes Echoing Hatred runs easier to find. Wudijo also highlighted other undocumented changes in a video, including World Bosses regaining the Resilience buff and The Pit’s invulnerability bubble disappearing.
