PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has raised the stakes for console cheating. In its June 30, 2026 policy update, the team said accounts confirmed to be using abnormal input devices on Xbox and PlayStation will now receive permanent bans instead of temporary penalties.
The change covers mouse and keyboard signal converters and other unauthorized tools that give players an unfair edge, including Cronus, XIM, and Mix Master. PUBG said its improved detection system now gives it enough confidence to move from short-term punishment to permanent action on console accounts tied to cheating.
That lines up with the tougher anti-cheat push the game outlined earlier this month in a separate June 25 update. PUBG also said it will keep applying the same standards across all platforms when it deals with behavior that undercuts fair competition.
