Focus Entertainment used its June Community Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to sketch out Year 3, lay out what is coming in Patch 14, and confirm that the game will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. The studio also said there will not be a community update in July, with the next one due at the end of August.
The June post builds on the studio’s earlier 2026 roadmap, including the plans it had already outlined in the December community update. This time, the team went further with new weapons, new enemies, and a few cosmetic packs for the road ahead.
Year 3 starts to take shape
Focus said Year 3 will add two new weapons. The first is the Absolvor Bolt Pistol, which will serve as the signature weapon for an upcoming class. The second is the One-Handed Thunder Hammer, even though a Greatsword had previously been treated as the main melee priority.
Two new bosses are also on the way, with each one arriving at the end of its own Operation. The studio is also planning a new Chaos-focused spin on Siege Mode that will let players use characters that were previously limited to PvP.
Year 3’s cosmetic roadmap is busy too. Season Pass 3 will bring new Champion and Cosmetic packs for both returning and new Chapters. The first Year 3 Champion will be a Wolf Guard Champion for the Space Wolves in September, while a Deathwatch Champion is also planned. The Exorcists chapter will get its own Cosmetic Pack, and one of the Champion DLCs will be tied to the new class.
Patch 14 lands with maps, enemies, and heroics
Patch 14 is described as a smaller update than the last two, but it still brings a lot to the table. The headline additions are two new PvP maps, Facility and Sanctum, set on Demerium and Avarax respectively.

The update also adds a new Thousand Sons Terminus enemy, the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer, which will appear in every Chaos Operation. Heroic weapon variants are expanding too, with the Stalker Bolt Rifle, Power Sword, and Power Fist getting their own versions. Focus said three more Heroic weapons are coming as well, bringing the total to six.
Season Pass content is also part of Patch 14. The studio listed Salamanders Champion Pack 2, a Heavy Champion with a Salamanders-themed Multi-Melta skin, and the Raptors Cosmetic Pack, which includes a helmet, chestplate, both pauldrons, a cloak, and an extra cloak variant that covers the backpack.
Steam players will be able to test Patch 14 on the Public Test Server in early July.
Space Marine 2 is headed to Switch 2
Focus also confirmed that Space Marine 2 will release on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. The target window is Holiday 2026, which the studio said means roughly between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Outside of the update plans, the studio said official mod support is expanding and will eventually reach consoles. The first stage is a full Steam Workshop integration, and Focus said that piece should arrive soon.
The June Community Event is still running too. Players have until July 1 to clear 30 waves total in Siege Mode on any difficulty, across any number of sessions, to earn 100 Accolades.
