Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will open its Campaign Early Access window on Friday, October 16 for players who digitally pre-order or pre-purchase the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition. That applies to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The full game is still due on Friday, October 23, 2026, and Switch 2 pre-orders will open later this year. Activision said the game will launch worldwide on those platforms, with Infinity Ward leading development and the PC version handled with Beenox.
The campaign follows Private Park, a young South Korean soldier thrown into a North Korean invasion, while Captain Price works off the books on a separate hunt tied to a weapon that could tilt the conflict. The setup mixes large battles, covert missions, combined-arms combat, and cinematic moments across the story.
