War Thunder has brought the Floats event back, and this time the water fight comes with a new British plane in the mix. The event is live from June 12 at 09:00 GMT through June 16 at 09:00 GMT, with capture points sitting on the surface of the water for seaplanes and flying boats.
The new Spitfire Mk Vb (Float) becomes available with Task 6 in the Wings Over Water event on June 13. It swaps the usual wheels for floats, which means it can take off and land on the water once players earn it.
Players can find Floats in the in-game hangar under the Events & Tournaments tab. The eligible lineup spans a long list of aircraft, including the OS2U-1, PBY-5, PBM-3, He 115 C-1, A6M2-N, Arado 196A-3, Catalina Mk IIIa, Sunderland Mk IIIa, F1M2, H6K4, H8K2, and the new Spitfire Mk Vb (Float).
Wings Over Water ends on June 15, so Floats stays open for one more day after that, giving players a little extra time to fly the new floatplane in the event.
Let us know what you think about the return of Floats and the new Spitfire Mk Vb (Float) in the comments.
