Dark and Darker is lining up a July Warlord tournament

Players must hold Warlord rank through June 22, apply as a trio, and lock in one Warlord-tier class for every match.

Dark and Darker is getting an EAS9 Warlord Tournament this July, and the first set of rules already makes one thing plain: entry will not be casual. The announcement came with a preliminary outline for applications, regional selection, and the current tournament calendar.

To enter, players must keep their Warlord rank until June 22, 2026. Each applicant also has to pick one Warlord-tier class for the event, and every match in the tournament must be played with that registered class only.

There is also a strict team requirement. Applications have to come in as a trio of three Warlords, no matter whether players usually queue in Solo/Duo or Flex, and duplicate applications are not allowed.

The tournament will use a regional round of 8, which means eight teams and 24 players per region. If more than eight teams apply in a region, the organizers will sort entries by combined rank points. The team with the lowest total points will move ahead first. If that still leaves a tie, the higher minimum rank gets the edge. If the tie still stands after that, the earlier application wins.

Applications open on June 22, 2026 and close on June 28, 2026. The regional schedule is currently listed as Asia on July 10, 2026, North America on July 11, 2026, and Europe on July 12, 2026, although the exact time windows are still TBD.

The studio said more details will come later, so this is still a preview of how the event will work rather than the full rulebook. Even so, the format already points toward a tournament built around rank, team discipline, and a very specific class pick.
