Crimson Desert players can enter a new clip contest for real-world prizes

Pearl Abyss will take entries through July 12, 2026, and the 10 winners will get a trip to Korea HQ, a commemorative coin, and special merch.

Pearl Abyss has opened Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge, a new Crimson Desert video contest for Greymanes. Entries are due by July 12, 2026, at 23:59 UTC, and the studio plans to announce the winners on August 3.

How the contest works

The challenge leaves the theme up to players. Pearl Abyss said submissions can focus on exploration, combat, non-combat life activities, the Abyss, character customization, or something else entirely, as long as the video captures Pywel in a way that stands out.

Creators can enter either of two groups: short-form videos under one minute, or long-form videos between one and three minutes. Players may submit to both, but each participant can win in only one category.

To enter, players need to upload a public video to their own social channel or YouTube with #CrimsonDesert and #BeyondTheAbyss, then send the link, the original video file, and their details through the submission survey. Pearl Abyss also said the clip must use actual in-game footage, while animation, cartoon-style work, and videos made wholly or partly with generative AI will not qualify.

The studio added that public visibility is required for social posts, submitted videos may be used for promotional purposes without time or regional limits, and the company can request supporting files to confirm the work was not generated or copied. Winners will be chosen through internal review, with six long-form entries and four short-form entries making the cut.

Each of the 10 winners will receive a fully sponsored trip to Pearl Abyss Korea HQ with round-trip airfare, 3 days / 2 nights of accommodation, a Crimson Desert commemorative golden coin, and special merch. Pearl Abyss also noted that the HQ visit must happen within six months of the winner announcement, travel costs are limited to the listed items, and selected winners must reply within seven days or risk losing the prize.

If you plan to enter, double-check the rules before you post. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
