A Palworld exec found a surprisingly handy Crimson Desert challenge spot
John "Bucky" Buckley said the late game can run dry on enemies, then pointed players to a Dodo nest near Rocca's Hill for weapon challenges.
Palworld publishing lead John “Bucky” Buckley has been praising Crimson Desert for weeks, but he also pointed out a real problem for players pushing into the endgame, as there may not be enough enemies left to keep challenge clean-up moving.
In a post on X, Buckley said the “enemy density issue is very real in the late game” and explained that he had gone back to an earlier save to look for better ways to complete challenges. He then highlighted what might be the best workaround he had found so far.
The enemy density issue is very real in the late game, so I rolled back to a much earlier save to try and find "optimal" ways to do challenges.
Ironically, it seems the best spot might be these Dodos though, which is unaffected by any camp clearing!

That spot sits northeast of Hernand at Rocca’s Hill. Buckley said there is a Dodo nest there that respawns every time players teleport in, and that the animals seem to stop moving if you stand in front of the lead Dodo. In his view, that makes the area a handy place for weapon challenges.
It is a small tip, but for players chasing 100% completion, it could save a lot of wandering around an otherwise empty stretch of the map. If you have found a better grind spot in Crimson Desert, share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
