Hazelight just crossed 50 million total game sales, and its next project is already in the oven
The co-op specialist said its three big releases, A Way Out, It Takes Two, and Split Fiction, have now cleared 50 million copies combined.

Hazelight Studios has passed a major sales milestone, with the team saying on X that its three co-op adventures have now sold more than 50 million copies combined. The studio shared the update on April 8, 2026, and broke out the totals for A Way Out, It Takes Two, and Split Fiction.
The breakdown Hazelight posted is hard to ignore: A Way Out reached 13 million copies, It Takes Two hit 30 million, and Split Fiction climbed to 7 million. That adds up to more than 50 million sales in under a decade for a studio that has stuck to one lane and kept finding a bigger audience for it.
Those numbers also put Hazelight’s growth into sharp focus. Split Fiction moved 7 million copies in a year, while A Way Out took eight years to reach 13 million. The newer game still has a lot of runway ahead of it, especially compared with the long tail the studio has already seen on its earlier releases.
Hazelight also teased that it is working on a fourth game. In February, the studio posted on X that it was “back in the kitchen, cookin’ up something really delicious,” so this latest sales milestone comes with a reminder that the team is already looking past Split Fiction.
