Megabonk asks fans to vote in the Steam Awards, promises a pizza-throwing chill dude if it wins
Vedinad, the solo creator of Megabonk, posted on December 18, 2025, asking players to vote for the game in the 2025 Steam Awards after nominations landed it in the Sit back and relax category. The developer also thanked the players for the nomination, and said, “lets fu***** go!!”, and teases a new playable character if Megabonk takes the trophy.
Vedinad wrote that if Megabonk wins they will add a “really chill dude” as a playable character – concept art shows a sofa-sitting character tossing pizzas at opponents. The post also notes the art took “2 hours” and closes with a plea: i really want that beautiful steam award trophy please vote megabonk.
