Epic Games is giving away Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy on PC. The Epic Games Store listing shows the game is free to keep through December 18, 2025, and players can add it to their libraries at no cost during that window. Hogwarts Legacy is a third-person open-world action RPG set in the 1800s. Players create a student, learn spells, brew potions, tame fantastic beasts, and face off against Dark wizards while following a new story that centers on an ancient secret tied to the wizarding world.
Claiming the free copy requires visiting the game’s Epic Games Store page and completing the purchase flow while the promotion is active. The Epic page is available on the store and lists the giveaway period and any region restrictions. For players who like to tweak things, a number of community mods keep appearing for Hogwarts Legacy, including first-person and VR options and early multiplayer projects. Those mods live outside the official release and can change how the game plays.
