Midnight beta added nameplate visibility fixes and dungeon bug patches

Blizzard pushed a Midnight beta update on November 19 that adjusts stacking nameplate visibility, adds new Midnight enchants and consumables to beta vendors, and applies a handful of dungeon fixes and visual corrections.

The update is live on beta clients, so players should see the stacking nameplate visibility change after updating. The patch also places Midnight enchants and consumables with Veeno the Second in Orgrimmar and Stormwind so testers can try them without farming or crafting first.

Stacking nameplates has caused readability problems in dense encounters. The visibility tweak should make it easier to track overlapping units during dungeons and group fights. Testers rebuilding their UIs after the Midnight beta blocked some combat reading addons may find this tweak helpful when retuning layouts and nameplate settings. We previously covered players rebuilding UIs in reaction to the beta changes and that piece may help if readers need a starting point for adjustments.

Patch Notes – Beta update (November 19)

We have made the following update to Beta.

General

  • Pushed an update to improve the visibility of stacking nameplates. The client must be updated to apply this change.
  • Veeno the Second in Orgrimmar and Stormwind has been updated with Midnight enchants and consumables.

Dungeons

Seat of the Triumvirate

  • Merciless Subjugator
    • Addressed an issue where Chains of Subjugation cannot be cleared by spells that remove movement-impairing effects.
  • Umbral War-Adept
    • Addressed an issue where Shield Throw’s debuff cannot be cleared by spells that remove movement-impairing effects.

Skyreach

  • Addressed an issue where Waystone after Rukhran does not update the dungeon’s respawn point.

Pit of Saron

  • Forgemaster Garfrost
    • Addressed an issue with Throw Ore’s visual.

For the clearest read on the fixes, check the developer feedback thread on the Blizzard forums, which lists the same items and may contain ongoing follow-up from the team. If readers notice lingering nameplate or dungeon issues after updating, filing bug reports on the official forums and providing logs or clips will help the team reproduce edge cases.
