Gran Turismo 7 is handing out free in-game Credits to new buyers as part of a celebratory bundle, but players who already own the game are not getting the same reward. The studio announced on the game’s social channels that the standard edition of Gran Turismo 7 will include 750,000 Credits at no extra cost. The Digital Deluxe edition comes with 2,000,000 Credits. The bonuses arrive alongside a larger slate of content planned for December. A free update titled Spec III is due then, and a paid expansion called the Power Pack will land at the same time.
We previously covered update 1.63, which details recent additions and events for the game, and this credit bundle looks set to be a separate, purchase-tied incentive aimed at new buyers. Players who backed GT7 at launch and stuck with its economy are not happy about the move. Threads on socials point out that long-term fans are being left out of a celebration that the series itself earned through years of purchases.
From a practical perspective, the Credit amounts are a modest head start rather than a game-breaking windfall. Still the optics are poor for people who already spent time and Credits earning their collections. Below is the social post that announced the bundles.
