Epic Games has found a way to enhance the stat tracking in Fortnite. The 7.40 update won’t just focus on the core gameplay and mechanics, but will also tweak more under the hood. The developers have stated that the new 7.40 update will install a new Stats system, entitled as Stats v2.
Apparently, the current Stats system database couldn’t scale properly on all platforms, making players unable to track their numbers with ease. Therefore, the 7.40 update will allow players to get much tighter stats info and improved tracking of player’s progress.
This was announced on Epic Games’ official website:
Here are a couple of new things arriving with the update to stats:
- The ability to track all of your play in one place and view it across all platforms.
- All of your previously earned stats will be added in and displayed in-game.
- There may be a few minor edge cases where a small amount of data could be missing.
- All LTM stats are combined and tracked in a singular tab. This means that any previous LTM stats you’ve earned will be moved out of the Solo/Duo/Squad tab and into the LTM tab.
- The exception to this would be Large Team Mode LTMs. We don’t track stats in those game modes.
- All of your previously earned stats will be added in and displayed in-game.
Considered as a new feature, Epic Games would love you as a player to discover the new Stats v2 as soon as the 7.40 update is available.
