SCS Software’s 1.57 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2 brings a visual tidy-up to player company branding, reworking the selectable company logos and the matching paint jobs used on trucks and trailers. The refresh was led by members of the Vehicles Team, with Matej and Tomáš driving the project. The pair spent several months remaking the existing designs in the game since 2016, aiming to keep the familiar look while making the art feel more modern and realistic. The work covers a wide range of vehicle types, including different truck cabins, paintable accessories, box trailers, doubles, tankers, and dumpers.
One practical change players will notice is increased customization. All new paint jobs now include an RGB color picker, letting players tweak colors freely or stick with the team’s preset combinations. The update also ships matching paintjobs for trailers so liveries read correctly across rig and load. The new designs are slated for Euro Truck Simulator 2 in 1.57, and the team says American Truck Simulator will receive a similar refresh in a future update. For players who follow the sim’s ongoing tech and UI adjustments, this tweak continues the visual work that followed the 1.56 open beta and arrives ahead of the broader changes players will see in the Nordic Horizons DLC preview.
The team emphasizes that the goal was balance: keep the sense of nostalgia while updating lines, proportions, and how liveries map to modern truck geometry. Practically speaking, players creating a new profile will see the refreshed logo set; existing companies can also adopt the new paint jobs to give a familiar fleet a neater coat of paint.
Thoughts, complaints, and praise are expected to appear across the usual places once 1.57 lands, forums, social channels, and the announcement comments are already primed for reaction.
