The Silent Hill 2 remake appears to be headed to Xbox Series X and S after a new rating popped up on the ESRB website. The ESRB listing is separate from the existing PS5 and PC entries, and it names Xbox Series as the only platform. The rating summary matches the PS5/PC entry, which makes clear this is the modern remake rather than a reissue of the original PS2-era release.
The remake launched as a PS5 console exclusive on October 8, 2024. If the ESRB entry is a sign of release plans, the timed exclusivity would have lasted roughly a year. We previously noted other hints the remake might come to Xbox and future Nintendo hardware, see our related coverage on that possibility here.
There’s no publisher announcement yet, and no store pages to confirm a release date or pricing. For now, the ESRB entry is the clearest signal that an Xbox version is in the works, and it’s the kind of small, official detail that often precedes a formal reveal.
