Marvel Rivals has received a new patch that rolls out across platforms. The update brings Galacta’s Gift Vol. 2, a timestream event called Chrono-Storm, tweaks to Marvel Zombies, and a series of bug fixes for heroes and game modes.
What Galacta’s Gift Vol. 2 gives you
Galacta’s Gift Vol. 2 adds a fresh set of quest rewards. Complete the event quests to claim:
- 300 Units
- 300 Unstable Molecules
- Halloween Commemorative Nameplate
- Costume Coin
The Exchange Store also received new costume options during the event window. Event duration is October 30, 2025 at 09:00:00 UTC through November 14, 2025 at 09:00:00 UTC.
Event – Chrono-Storm
The Chrono-Storm event runs the same dates as Galacta’s Gift Vol. 2. During the event, Weekly, Challenge, Season and Season Event missions grant double Chrono Token rewards.
Marvel Zombies and other additions
The update upgrades the Marvel Zombies mode Nightmare IV completion title from Basic to Legendary quality, adds Marvel Zombies-exclusive weekly missions so players can claim all weekly mission rewards via that mode, and expands the Zombies leaderboard to show more detailed team composition info. We previously covered the game’s Marvel Zombies PvE mode rollout in a separate story and linked that coverage for background.
Notable fixes and hero updates
The patch addresses a range of problems across all platforms and modes. Key fixes include a chat emoji bug that could hide the sender’s name, corrected career defeat records in Marvel Zombies to use final hits, and fixes for zombies getting stuck in certain locations. In Domination mode, reconnecting during a round switch no longer reduces Ultimate Ability charge to 50 percent if you had more.
Several hero-specific issues were resolved. Highlights include:
- Loki: fixed an issue preventing deployment of doppelgangers on Cyber-Webs after round swaps in Competitive.
- Hela: removed a case where Piercing Night detonated after an enemy respawned at Rocket Raccoon’s beacon.
- Blade: prevented Bloodline Awakening Whirlwind Slash from interrupting Scarlet Shroud.
- Black Widow: fixed a bug where Power Jump could launch her excessively high if hit while airborne.
- Spider-Man: adjusted interactions so the Ultimate Ability stuns faster sprinting targets properly.
- Invisible Woman: using Veiled Step immediately followed by Force Physics now triggers damage and control as intended.
- Team interactions: fixed cases where Jeff-Nado could appear even if Jeff The Land Shark was KO’d before the team-up executed, and corrected a VFX persistence issue for Jeff O’Lantern in Marvel Zombies mode.
