Tarkov-like by name but not by nature, Escape From Duckov is already flying on Steam

Team Soda’s cheeky looter shooter Escape From Duckov landed on Steam today, bringing a top-down, PvE take on the survival template and a frankly obscene number of ducks. The game trades Tarkov’s slow, tense firefights for fast-paced, chaotic loot runs and cartoonish violence.

Players should not expect Tarkov-style hardcore mechanics. Duckov borrows the extraction and looting idea but swaps tactical FPS combat for a more arcade-friendly top-down view, simplified progression, and a single-player-friendly focus. For readers tracking the real Tarkov’s move to Steam, see this related coverage on Tarkov’s Steam listing here.

The launch has already drawn attention. Steam stats peaked near 35,000 concurrent players on day one, and Team Soda pushed a small hotfix shortly after release to tidy up bugs and improve playability. The game includes customizable difficulty modes and promises free updates guided by player feedback after a short holiday. One practical note: players who had older test saves should start a fresh save to get the full retail experience.

Escape From Duckov is available on Steam for $15.83 / ÂŁ15.83. If you want to check it out, the store page is linked on the Steam storefront here.
