Phasmophobia received a minor update, v0.14.2.0, focused on the Crimson Eye Halloween event and a handful of quality-of-life changes across platforms. This matters because event progression and leaderboards now behave a little differently, and the team patched a Unity security issue. Players should see the Blood Moon event live, new Moon Altar interactions, and leaderboard support added to PlayStation and Xbox builds. Kinetic Games laid out the details in the announcement and patch notes below.
Patch Notes – Crimson Eye v0.14.2.0
New
- Crimson Eye: Phasmophobia’s Halloween event returns. Throughout the event players can earn extra rewards and work together to complete challenges. For more details, head to our blogpost.
- oon Altars: Moon Altars now appear as ‘Usable’ in-game and will disappear once interacted with. Take a photo before interacting with an Altar; it will count as a Unique piece of Media.
- The event Trophy is the same as 2024’s, but it is now upgradeable by completing Personal Goals. The Crimson Eye trophy can be upgraded up to three times during the event, and progression will carry through to the next Crimson Eye event.
- Leaderboard support for in-game events has been added to the PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Phasmophobia.
Changes
- If crossplay is turned off, only players on the same platform will be displayed on the event leaderboard.
Fixes
- Fixed various visual and performance issues.
- A recently identified security vulnerability within Unity has been patched. You can read more about it here: https://unity.com/security/sept-2025-01
