A recent poll circulated by Electronic Arts shows just 12% of respondents chose Portal as the Battlefield 6 feature they care about most. The survey asked players to pick which part of the game they are most looking forward to, and Portal landed at the bottom. Portal first appeared in Battlefield 2042 as a location to play legacy maps and combine weapons and vehicles from older entries. Battlefield 6 promises a different Portal experience, positioned more as a creative sandbox. Few players appear sold on that idea so far.
Poll results, from most to least popular:
- Tactical Destruction – 39%
- Return of Campaign – 30%
- Maps, Modes, and Weapons – 18%
- Portal – 12%
Tactical destruction, topping the list, fits with the buzz from beta clips and Battlefield Labs demonstrations that highlighted destructible environments. The campaign finishing ahead of maps and modes surprised some, but the campaign trailer suggests a strong single-player offering. Portal’s low score could mean that players either do not see its appeal yet or will only try it after exhausting the campaign and core multiplayer. DICE confirmed Portal rewards XP for play so that early usage may skew toward XP farms rather than creative community modes.
