Battlefield 6 pre-load goes live, file sizes revealed for PS5, Xbox, and PC

The pre-load for Battlefield 6 is now live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and the stores are already showing how large the downloads will be. Players can pre-load ahead of the game’s servers going live on Oct. 10.

File sizes by platform

PS5 – 67 GB

The PlayStation 5 download shows as 67 GB, but it’s split into several packs rather than a single file. The store lists multiple components including multiplayer, single player, and HD content packs.

Xbox Series X|S – 70 GB

The Xbox Series X|S listing shows a slightly larger download at 70 GB. Store pages for Xbox include both the Standard and Phantom editions:

Steam – 67 GB

Steam lists the game at 67 GB overall, but the client may initially prompt to download a smaller portion. If Steam initially shows a 22 GB download, restart the client to view and download the full size.

Steam store pages for each edition:

Epic Games Store

Epic’s pages list both editions as well:
