A TikTok creator who goes by Backonboulevard traveled to Edinburgh and filmed himself outside Rockstar North, shouting at people he claims are GTA 6 developers and demanding answers about the delays and trailers. GTA 6 is set to launch on consoles next year, on May 26, and a big trailer is expected to appear in May.
The short clip was flagged on X and shows the creator approaching people outside the studio and yelling questions like “When’s the next delay?” and “When’s the next trailer?” The video frames the scenes as interviews, but what plays out is someone shouting at strangers in the street, many of whom may not work at Rockstar or on GTA 6.
I watched the clip, and it feels uncomfortable rather than funny. Filming strangers and pressuring them about workplace information is an invasion of privacy, and several viewers called the behaviour inappropriate in the comments. The TikTok has been viewed nearly 160,000 times. The clip was initially shared on TikTok and was spotted on X by Gameroll. Backonboulevard says his channel mixes gaming and comedy, but the clip appears to many viewers as harassment. One comment on the video, from someone claiming to work on GTA 6, wrote: “As a GTA6 developer currently we can’t share any information about delays or anything but please bare [sic] with us and don’t harass our developers.”
The TikTok clip is available from the creator’s account.
