Patch Notes – The Finals – 8.3.0
NEW LIMITED-TIME MODE: HEAVEN OR ELSE
Heaven or Else is a 5v5 showdown where contestants fight with a Spear and a few extra tools tuned for the event. Knock players off the Final Stage Arena’s celestial surfaces, keep your health up, and don’t fall through the clouds — lower HP sends you farther, so stay careful.

STORE UPDATE
New companions Quill and Cinder, Double Yolk earrings, Mandate Javelin, and Malebolge’s notice trident are available. Poland and Greece bundles are live, and The Grand Major 25 Prime selection is now in store for tournament prep.

Breach Drill
- Activation sequence reduced from 3s to 2.5s.
- Cooldown decreased from 25s to 20s.
Smoke Grenade
- Smoke duration reduced from 15s to 9s.
- Ammo reduced from 3 to 2.
- Dev Note: Short-term nudges to smoke to reduce cashout steal frustrations; longer-term improvements planned.

Cashout (World Tour & Ranked Tournament)
- Updated respawn position selection after team wipes to reduce teams spawning near each other.
- Dev Note: Team is aware of community concerns about ‘doubling’ cashouts in tier three and is testing changes with no set timeline yet.

BFR Titan
- Damage decreased from 98 to 90.
- Dev Note: Aimed mainly at removing a rapid Winch Claw plus BFR headshot combo on Lights, without affecting most other shot-to-kill breakpoints.
Content and Bug Fixes
Animation
- Fixed inspect animations blending poorly with interaction animations in third person.
- Fixed a small inconsistency when going from aim down sight to sprint in first person.
- Fixed deploys and inspects breaking when activated while climbing off a ladder.
- Fixed an issue where the weapon sometimes disappeared briefly after using Charge N’ Slam in the air.
Audio
- Fixed double respawn sounds when exiting a replay.
- Fixed incorrect introduction voiceovers sometimes playing in Cashout.
- Minor tweak to the P90 firing sequence to make it sound less suppressed.
Contracts
- Daily Club Contracts now show the total number of contracts that can be accepted/completed instead of the number available to accept.
Controller
- Fixed controller input processing while the game was not in focus.
- Changed buttons used to back out of pop-up notifications to prevent accidental matchmaking cancellations.
Customization & Cosmetics
- Fixed player card display mismatch with eliminated contestants.
- Pets now play audio when you Emote in game, and also in Store and Battle Pass.
- Improved colliders on punk-style outfits to reduce erratic shoelace and chain movement.
- Fixed visible line issues on certain skins for some AMD graphics cards.
- Addressed artifact near Dale the Whale’s mouth.
- Fixed Sensorveil Bomber jacket clipping with emblems and upper back items.
- Fixed head and ear clipping on the Impact Unit V3000 mask.

- Fixed issue where players started with 4 respawn tokens in private Ranked Cashout.
Gameplay
- Fixed stuck weapon audio in replays.
- Fixed hand-gun bug where hand got stuck when interacting with objects; interactions improved.
- FOV setting no longer affects visibility of the Dematerializer’s first-person VFX.
- Picked up objects that failed to attach when launched on a jumppad will now fail sooner to reduce frustration.
- Revive statues now have unique looks for Lights, Mediums and Heavies.
- Fixed doors, ziplines and platforms appearing in wrong locations in some replays.
- Fixed corner case that could leave players stuck in replays.
- Back key can again leave the drafting screen.
- Respawn markers no longer block interaction line of sight validation and won’t interrupt steals.
- Fixed issue that made it harder to place deployables.
- Increased aiming accuracy for Grapple Hook and Winch Claw.
- Fixed revive effect position when respawn statue was moved.
- Fixed projectiles triggering effects twice when used simultaneously with another of the same type.

- Flying saucers now spawn near the closest active Cashout Station during Alien Invasion events.

Nozomi/Citadel
- Replaced the zipline between Apartments corner and Cybercafe with Jump Pads to provide a reliable flank option.
- Slightly moved a player spawn near the Research Facility underpass.
SYS$Horizon
- Increased large cube health from 1000 to 2000 for consistency with other sturdy geometry.
- Campus cube garden corner: split extra-large cubes, added cover, raised part of the ring around the ball, and reduced the size of a dominating Big Cube.
- Campus voxel bridge corner: added a secondary voxel bridge with a vent to the classroom and extra street cover to give more approaches to cashout corners.
Seoul
- Reduced exposed hospital roof length by 8 meters and added a 16 meter overhang, shortening the exposed area from 60m to 36m.
- Added an extra doorway and vent to the back wing for quicker exits and new flanking routes.
Skyway Stadium
- Added soil ground meshes to planter beds above Medical Center to help player flow.
Private Matches & Spectator
- Fix for back input closing team customization modal instead of the dropdown menu.
