After a three-year wait, Cultic Chapter Two has launched on Steam as DLC for $10, the same price as Episode One. The publisher 3D Realms and developer Jasozz Games say the new episode more than doubles the size of the game and brings the project to what they consider a 1.0 release.
Cultic puts players in the boots of a private investigator chasing a rural cult through autumnal woods, abandoned towns, and underground catacombs. The game wears its influences on its sleeve, echoing classic shooters like Blood while also borrowing pacing and weapon upgrade feel from Resident Evil 4. Episode One took around seven hours on a first playthrough while leaving secrets behind. 3D Realms says Chapter Two is even larger, more than doubling the overall game length.
Chapter Two is listed on Steam as DLC rather than a separate full release. The new entry is available now on Steam for $10, matching the price of Episode One. The bundle of both episodes is sold as the complete edition for $20. A 3D Realms representative told PC Gamer by email that a third chapter has not been ruled out, but the publisher views the two chapters together as the finished product.

The game’s visual language is a big part of its charm. Severely dithered textures and a limited color palette give the levels an old CPU rendered look that still feels distinct. Encounters can swing from open cult compound fights with snipers to tense, maze like chases and claustrophobic asylum exploration, often inside a single level.
Players who were unsure about Cultic’s release path should know the purchase model lets them try the first chapter for $10 before buying the full $20 complete edition. That split structure is how Jasozz Games and 3D Realms chose to reach a finished game state while keeping each episode priced the same.
