Team Cherry has pushed a second post-release patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong onto Steam’s public-beta branch. Version 1.0.28626 brings visual and gameplay fixes, quality-of-life adjustments, and a set of bug repairs that should smooth out some annoying moments for PC beta testers.
In a Steam post, Team Cherry explained the first patch handled critical issues, while this follow-up focuses on remaining problems and some tool-specific cleanups. The studio has announced that the beta branch is now open, allowing you to try these fixes yourself.
Highlights include a new “Dithering” option in Advanced video settings that “reduces colour banding but can slightly soften the appearance of foreground assets.” One lava-filled arena boss has been tweaked so it can no longer get stuck below the lava. A couple of out-of-bounds issues have also been patched, and some soft locks and damage calculation bugs have been addressed.
There are no boss nerfs this time around, which will land differently for players depending on how they feel about Silksong’s difficulty curve. If you want the full context, check the Steam thread linked above.
